“Structural Handgun” is a class designed to lay the foundation of fundamental handgun techniques. This class focuses on firearms safety, handgun accuracy, and recoil mitigation. In addition to the fundamentals, this class also provides the student with the building blocks of drawing from a holster and malfunction clearances. By the end of this class, the student will have a better understanding of pistol shooting as well as proper dry fire techniques and information about further training opportunities.

Required Equipment

  • Practical and reliable Handgun (excluding rimfire)
  • Minimum of 2 magazines
  • Rigid holster specifically designed for your firearm which fully covers the trigger guard. Excluded holsters include: nylon universal holsters, cross-draw, and small of the back holsters.
  • Belt suitable for supporting the weight of firearm and magazines
  • Minimum of 200 rounds of ammunition (250 recommended)
  • Eye and Ear Protection
  • Water source for 6-8 hours
